WARNER BROS. PLANS TWO-PART FILM ADAPTATION OF "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS" TO BE DIRECTED BY DAVID YATES



BURBANK, CA, MARCH 12, 2008 - Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that the screen adaptation of J.K. Rowling's final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be released in two parts. The announcement was made by Jeff Robinov, President of Warner Bros. Pictures Group.

Robinov also announced that director David Yates, who earlier helmed the 2007 summer blockbuster "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and is currently in production on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will direct "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." This marks the first time any one director will helm more than two releases in the Harry Potter film franchise.

In addition, David Heyman, who first brought the project to Warner Bros. in 1997, will be completing the film franchise as the producer of all of the Harry Potter films. David Barron will also continue as producer. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be adapted by screenwriter Steve Kloves.

In making the announcement, Robinov stated, "It has been an honor for our studio to be entrusted with bringing J.K. Rowling's extraordinary book series to the screen, and we have always felt a great responsibility to be true to her vision. In concluding the film franchise, we recognized that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is packed with vital plot points that complete the story arcs of all of its beloved characters. That said, we feel that the best way to do the book, and its many fans, justice is to expand the screen adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and release the film in two parts. We could not imagine the final chapter of the film franchise being in better hands than those of David Yates."

"This is a very special moment for us, as it is the final episode in the great journey that J.K. Rowling undertook more than a decade ago," said Alan Horn, President and COO, Warner Bros. Entertainment. NUMBER 1: INSTEAD OF TOPPING UP NAOH IN THE BURRETE, I TOPPED IT WITH HCL. there was already some NAOH in the burette. and even if there wasnt, it would STILL BE CONTAMINATED. zz. so. i wasted 25ml of NAOH.

NUMBER 2: (this is suppose to be before 1.. but lazy me to change) I TOOK THE DROPPER FROM THE TEACHER'S DESK. AND DIDNT KNOW IT WASNT CLEAN. SO... I WANTED TO TAKE SOME NAOH FROM THE BEAKER TO RINSE THE BURETTE. AND WOW. THE TOTAL 140ML KENA CONTAMINATED.

NUMBER 3: 2 OUT OF 3 TITRATIONS I DID --> INACCURATE .. zz... DAMMIT . and i said OH SHYT damn loudly for the first one=.= because haha .. i slowly drop drop drop for SO long.. then was so IRRITATED by then.. i accidently let 0.3+ flow by at once = end pt over. zz ...

CA is 2+ and i forgot. zz..

number 6: i ate a lot of carbo when i came home .eg, potato chips , mee sua(my maid luh. she put in 3 bundles. suppose to be 1 only because it will expand.. so i so ke lian have to finish everything. zz .. and this roasted potato my mum gave me to eat which im not very keen on and thus ill just leave it..

Recent studies have suggested that trans fatty acids have a deleterious effect on cholesterol levels and the risk of heart disease, and point out that we're eating far more of these evil fats than we should, and far more than we used to.


What are trans fatty acids, and where do they come from?
We're used to hearing about saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Saturated fatty acids - which come from animal fats (meat, lard, dairy products) as well as tropical oils such as coconut and palm oils - raise the levels of LDL cholesterol. Unsaturated fats - which come from vegetable oils - in general, do not increase cholesterol levels, and may reduce them.
Because saturated fatty acids were found to be bad for you a couple decades ago, the food industry wanted to switch to using unsaturated fatty acids. Unfortunately, unsaturated fatty acids become rancid relatively quickly. To combat the instability of unsaturated fatty acids, manufacturers began to "hydrogenate" them, a process that makes them more stable. The result was a more solid and longer lasting form of vegetable oil, called "partially hydrogenated" oil.

Unfortunately, when unsaturated vegetable fats are subjected to the process of hydrogenation, a new type of fatty acid is formed. This new type of fatty acid is called trans fatty acid. So when manufacturers began substituting partially hydrogenated vegetable oils for saturated fats in processed foods, they began adding - for the first time - relatively large amounts of trans fatty acids to the typical diet.


So what's the problem with trans fatty acids?
Trans fatty acids turn out to increase total cholesterol levels and LDL cholesterol levels, and to reduce HDL cholesterol levels. In other words, trans fatty acids are detrimental to cardiac health.
Which is worse - saturated fatty acids or trans unsaturated fatty acids?
Both saturated fats and trans fatty acids are bad for you. Saturated fats are almost always found in foods that also contain cholesterol, so saturated fats offer a "one-two" punch to heart health. On the other hand, trans fatty acids not only increase LDL cholesterol, they also decrease HDL cholesterol. So while nobody can say yet definitively which is worse, it does appear that both are bad.


Which foods contain trans fatty acids?
Fortunately, it is relatively easy to identify foods that contain relatively large amounts of trans fatty acids: margarines (the more solid the margarine, the more the trans fatty acids; stick margarines contain the most, tub margarines contain less, and semi-liquid margarines contain the least;) high-fat baked goods (especially doughnuts, cookies and cakes;) and any product for which the label says "partially hydrogenated vegetable oils" (which, it sadly appears, includes virtually all processed foods.) DrRich is particularly distressed to point out that trans fatty acids absolutely lace his two favorite food groups: french fries and potato chips. (This tragic warning also includes corn chips and many crackers.)


Well, darn it, what are the good fats?
Unsaturated vegetable oils from canola, peanuts, olive, flax, corn, safflower and sunflower (as long as they have not been subjected to the process of hydrogenation) are heart healthy. These oils contain monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fatty acids that can reduce total cholesterol and increase HDL cholesterol levels. These oils also contain the essential fatty acids - specific fatty acids necessary for life but which the body cannot make itself. (These include omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.)


So what is the health-conscious consumer to do?
There are three basic steps to reducing the amount of "bad" fat in the diet and substituting "good" fat. First, avoid the saturated fatty acids found in meat and dairy products, as well as the tropical oils (palm and coconut.) Second, avoid trans fatty acids by steering clear of commercially fried foods, high-fat baked goods, and stick margarines. Third, whenever possible substitute one of the natural unsaturated vegetable oils, listed above, in recipes calling for stick margarine, butter, or lard.

everything happens for a reason.

u may not know it. but i really really xinfinity love ya a lot ya know? everything happens for a reason=) theres a reason why i nearly cried when we couldnt find daddy at all when we were at sitka . i was so thrilled to be on the holiday because it was a family outing. us 5 together. but u and u made it quite sad... u said u didnt care... how can u. u were lying. u cant don care. and u. u acted like nothing happened.. that i searched high and low for u in the ship went into oblivion. i didnt want to miss u out in the adventure at sitka. its a family outing. theres no way 1 of us cant be there.

that time when i asked the 2 of u to sit tgt in the plane too... its because i wanted the two of u to find a soln.but i guess it didnt work.. i made it worse in fact..

cant u see that im so hyped up everytime we go on a holiday or when we go for a family dinner or a family outing? didnt u see what i wrote on the signboard. i made it so obvious. but im still too shy to show it.

back then, i couldnt stop my flow of tears when i heard u quarrelling again .. it was the longest ever. and the loudest. i was so scared. couldnt u tell. i couldnt stop for a few hours.i couldnt even concentrate on my work.by the time i had enough courage to go out of my room.daddy wasnt in.i got the fright of my life that he prob walked out in anger.. i couldnt find comfort.i was so frightened..i have thought abt it before. what if i don get to see 1 of u ever again? i tot abt it and well.. it just seemed scary. i had no idea how i would live.

the quarrells i know of. ive been in them before. i think i know how u all feel. but in time, u will find the soln. to just forgive and forget and never bring up the past. only think of tomorrow. and smile. u always told me to smile.. even my frens didnt like the black look on my face most of the times. but u don see it anymore rite? even the crying. i havent cried since a long time ago i have never felt the requirement to be sad. i always look to tomorrow.

the 2 of u i can tell are very sad. im ur daughter.how can i not notice the way u two are so quiet. i don like it. it just feels abnormal.

i hope when the week ends, when we go for our family outing(i dearly hope we do) that u 2 will patch up. i wan to cycle with u all (:

ok this is the THIRD time im repeating my story (: and no i havent er hem-ed yet... touch wood!!!

after school, i was suppose to take 133 to lavender stn then some other bus to kallang stn... then i realised i could take 13 str to kallang stn... dang... thestreetdirectory.com is so NOT reliable.... just the other day my dad took some bus which ended up somewhere else-.-

so.. i took 13.... it was 5.35pm.. i was suppose to meet this girl at 5.45pm. although she didnt reply me ... -.- and i just went.... before i decided on 545.. we were suppose to meet at 6pm at kallang stn at first... lol..

but anw.. so i waited... i called. i smsed. no reply. a fair few times she rejected my call.. nevertheless, i waited-.- walked around the area to find out what bus i could take home... i saw bus 21.. but it doesnt stop at my flat.. so i couldnt take it.. then i realised from boon keng i can actually take 13,133,985,31 and prob a few more buses-.- it was ard 6pm and then i went to mr bean to buy myself pearly soya drink (:

then... i think ard 6.15 she replied me saying that she would be there in 5mins. LOL . i think she fell asleep lah .. not sure... maybe i woke her up=p

so i went back to kallang stn to wait for her... then while waiting there was this girl who came up to me and asked if i was the person.. and i was like.. yeah... (i tot it was her mah) ... so here comes the funny part

both of us took out our wallets.. and she took out 22.50 . the amt i was suppose to pay.. so some misunderstanding occurred LOL. i tot she was the one.. but eh. she was looking for suppliers?? so i got really all confused. then we looked at each other and were like.. o. wrong.. ..

so i made my way home... LOL. but i felt like damn weird lah.. i tot i ordered!!! i wasnt the supplier!! so i smsed her again

and finally, 518B came!!! i boarded the bus at 5.33pm(I ENDED CLASS AT 5PM) and -.- i have no idea what time i reached orchard...
